Ranger RT 178 Bass Boat For Sale

Meet the 2027 Ranger RT178 in a bass boat that looks ready to chase sunrise, glassy coves, and that one more cast feeling.

Built as a purpose-driven aluminum rig, the RT178 keeps things crisp and confident on the water with a 17.8 ft (5.4 m) footprint and a 92 in (2.3 m) beam that gives you a steady platform when you step up to fish. Its the kind of layout that feels nimble when youre slipping into tight shorelines, yet planted when youre working a windy point. And with an open top setup and a chair at the helm, its all about an unobstructed view aheadjust you, the water, and the next spot on your mental map.

Power comes from an outboard with propeller propulsion, rated for up to 75 bhp (56 kW), so the RT178 is sized to be easy to tow, easy to launch, and still plenty capable for hopping between your favorite areas without turning the day into a marathon. The 20 in (508 mm) transom height matches the outboard configuration for a straightforward, classic bass-boat setup.

At 1,210 lbs (487.6 kg) dry weight, this boat has that responsive feel when you lean into a turn or adjust your line along a break. Bring a crew, tootheres room for 4 passengers, which means it can be a tournament-style two-person mission or a relaxed day with family along for the ride.

When its time to slow down and get precise, the Minn Kota trolling motor is there to help you hold your angle, pick apart a dock line, or quietly ease along vegetation without blowing up your spot. And with two fishing pedestal chairs, you and a buddy can rotate between running the show and working your favorite presentations in comfortno awkward musical chairs, just fishing.

Top it off with 22 gallons (79.5 L) of fuel capacity, and the RT178 is ready for long stretches on the watermore exploring, less watching the clock.
